This summer must have been a super happy time for sports fans. Starting from June, we were going to have UEFA Euro 2024 in Continent of Europe (0614-0714) and CONMEBOL Copa América 2024 in the American Continent (0620-0714). Let us present the congrats to Champion Espania and Champion Argentina.
In a couple weeks, there comes the 33rd Summer Olympic Games which will open in Paris, capital of France, in July and August.
To be a champion is always the dream of every athlete. How to win the game? I think nobody could give a 100% sure answer. That’s exactly the interesting point of sports. Nevertheless, there’re some general clues to obtain a champion, such as trainings day after day, a good coach, athlete with talents, and good luck. Pay attention! Spirit, mental motivation could be the source of every success. A good attitude eventually leads to solutions.
In Hantai, besides engagement in some thermal fabric & thermal tape manufacturing, we have two major business sectors.

We supply various industrial protective sleeves for thermal insulation & electrical insulation, such as firesleeve, basalt fiber sleeve, quartz fiber sleeve, etc. They’re for hydraulic hoses, cables and pipes in a straight & standardized tubular dimension.

We customize thermal insulation shields, thermal jackets for non-standardized dimensions, and for complex working conditions. They’re serving steel mills, oil & gas refineries, construction machines, various ships, etc.
We really focus on what we’re doing, day after day. Even though, we make mistakes sometimes. A good attitude somehow makes up for the mistakes. TO BE A BETTER SUPPLIER FOR YOU is one common philosophy in Hantai. From a bigger view, we gradually move in more advanced equipment to reach a more accurate production & efficient delivery. It’s something you can see apparently. Besides, at some smaller positions, we’re making progress via our consistent efforts.
I think very few of the customers might notice the improvement we made to packaging.
A lot of plywood pallets are being used every day in Hantai warehouse. They’re supporting a fast, safe and complete dispatch for customers. We had been using a qualified pallet which can hold cargo up to GW 1000 kgs for many years. In order to minimize risk of broken pallet during the shipment, we set a regular limitation on max GW to be 600 kgs. However, we received the feedback from one of the customers that a broken pallet happened during container unloading, and fortunately the workers were experienced enough to prevent injury and even bigger damage when they opened the door of the container. This happened in August 2023.

How did we take actions to this case? I believe most of the Hantai people have a good attitude towards every issue raised by customers. First of all, we opened a claim case, in which all the necessary departments were included to participate. Then, an internal investigation went through. Finally, there were two solutions to this case. First, we must ensure a more skillful loading for full containers by putting the heavier pallet at the bottom while the lighter one is on top. Second, a double secured measure was implemented right away that we started to adopt a higher-grade pallet that can hold cargo up to GW 1500 kgs.
This is just a very small change in our consistent improved work, and it’s so small that customers hardly notice it. In fact, even though it’s a smallest change, that still would bring extra cost. Considering we use so many pallets annually, it sounds stupid to spend this extra money, because it’s the only complaint in the many years about this. We just love to do it. We think it’s worthy of making improvement to solidly fulfill our commitment to every customer.
Most of the Hantai products are heavy in density, for example, a standard roll of ID 150mm fire sleeve is nearly 30kgs. It’s potentially easy to get broken from the corner edge of the carton when a single carton weighs so much. We noticed this risk for cargos without pallet, therefore we started to adopt a cardboard corner edge protector for cargos without pallet but simply cartons from end of 2020. This small change also generates extra material cost and labor cost. Thus, we only carry it out for export orders which experience a longer time of transportation and meet with more package challenge.
